Cycling has come a long way. Hardly a bike on the road only a few years ago but now there seems to be more bikes than cars!

Some of us have come to realize that there is more to cycling than the Tour De France. We can all benefit from riding a bike. It is not just for the professionals.

Biking predominately works the legs (quads and hamstrings) and bottom (glutes) muscles. It goes further. The heart and core muscles also get a workout too.

What we achieve as a runner or swimmer, we can also achieve on the bike. Cycling works the heart. To do this, our heart and other key muscle groups need fuel to burn. A good diet will help you to burn fat, keeping you trim in the saddle.

Cycling training can include short, medium and long distance plans. Depending on your level of fitness these cycles can be done slowly get your fitness levels up in the process.

Large parks and roads are the ideal place to ride a bike and this is what our cycling plans include with a few hills included for good measure.
